🌱 November 2025 —
CincyAI’s First Human Huddles, the Seed of Tide Rise!
At the CincyAI for Humans November 5, 2025, meetup at the University of Cincinnati’s Digital Futures, the beginning seed of Tide Rise was planted!

How do you want to ENGAGE in 2026?
As a volunteer organization, my co-founder, Kendra Ramirez, and I wanted to get our members’ feedback on our programming so we could better serve them.
Our annual regional state-of-AI survey was like pulling teeth to get folks to fill it out, so dynamic brainstorming breakout huddles were a more popular way to gather feedback!
The next problem was seamlessly getting all the huddle transcriptions, notes, and recordings for reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing…
…and somewhere along the way, the idea of Tide Rise was born!
It started as “Otter + Slido’s Baby”…and the seed that was planted, the ripple that was started, is picking up momentum!
On January 26, 2026, I emailed Tushar Kulkarni, who owns Big Kig Kitty Labs, my Slido-Otter baby idea and included:
“it's community/human-centered where AI is in the background to help humans be more present!“
By March’s CincyAI for Humans meetup, Tushar’s team at Big Kitty Labs (also a CincyAI sponsor) had already made the demo MVP ready!
And as they say, the rest is history…errr…or rather…being shaped, one conversation at a time. 🌊

At the CincyAI for Humans March 3, 2026, meetup at the University of Cincinnati’s Digital Futures, Tide Rise demoed its beta MVP version of the app that Big Kitty Labs helped build to a great reception!

Tide Rise debuted at The University of Cincinnati’s SXSW Next Lab at SXSW 2026 in Austin, Texas, on Monday, March 16, 2026.
As the Co-Founder of CincyAI for Humans and Founder of Tide Rise, Helen Todd did a lightning round presentation titled: “Is Responsible AI a thing? Community-Centered & Community-in-the-Loop AI“.

Cincinnati American Marketing Association (AMA) Tide Rise Demo
On May 13, 2026, at the American Marketing Association Cincinnati Chapter meeting, I demoed Tide Rise.
I worked with the upcoming chapter president, Betty Rodriguez-Hakes ,on customizing the #RisingTideConvos to have a different question for each huddle to discuss, which was a great hit!
#RisingTideConvo Qs: We asked 8 unique questions to each this group’s breakout groups! They were centered around what is the relationship between a marketer and the machine in the age of articial intelligence.
